I've tried these filters for over 8 months now... and no matter what I do (and I've followed the flushing catridge instructions religiously) I keep getting black particles in my water! The water itself tastes fine...but I don't want to ingest carbon particles or whatever else they're using in the filter. Looks like I'll be trying the Pur pitchers and filters for now.
